My girlfriend and I are starting work on a new comic/RP dual project. We have a setting, which I'll summarize later, that we'll be writing a comic about 7 characters in. And well be running a chatroom roleplay alongside the comic, encompassing the acts of the allies to those 7 characters. And so far, it's looking really promising! The comic's still in the works, as we nail down all the details as far as what things look like. We have most of the characters set, although there's... 2 I believe, that still need concept drawings finished. So I'll be using this site here as a springboard for the various pinups of all the characters from the comic and the roleplay. Once the first issue is finished and posted, I'll toss a link in my blog about where you can read it.

As far as the setting goes: Think steampunk 1995. America lost WW2, and it's still in shambles over it. It's become a dictatorship, it's previous government crumbling over the loss. The dictator is not inherently evil, in fact, it could be said that America owes it's safe state of being to him. But when mutants started appearing, and general fear of them took hold of the country, he ordered that all mutants be caught and locked up for life. Several mutants have managed to evade the government's grasp, and carved out a sanctuary hidden in the Rocky Mountains, known as the Refuge. That was all 20 years ago. Now, the Refuge has grown quite large, despite it's secrecy, and has become it's own self-sufficient community. The Refuge has stolen a large number of aircraft to serve as it's fleet, which is frequently sent on missions for supplies, base raids, and locating mutants to bring them to safety. The roleplay takes place aboard one such ship, known at the Valiance. It's a massive, hover-capable aircraft with living space enough for 15 some odd people. It's crew are known as some of the best of the fleet, captained by a woman who can see the future, and a pilot who can control light.

The comic, however, will follow the story of the Refuge's flagship, the Dauntless. This floating aircraft carrier is maintained by only one man, known as Sabotage, gifted with the ability to speak with and control technology. He's put together a finely tuned crew of 6 other mutants, with one goal in mind: bring down the dictator, make America a safe place for mutants. Now, this ship is still at the Refuge's beck and call, and so you'll frequently see the crew of the Dauntless show up in the roleplay, and even people's roleplay characters making appearances in the comic.
